A decade of dedication as Linley & Simpson raises £220,000 for Martin House

Yorkshire estate agency Linley & Simpson has been a valued partner of Martin House more than a decade, raising an incredible £220,000 in that time.

Throughout our partnership, Linley & Simpson staff have taken part in dozens of fundraising activities – everything from conquering the National Three Peaks to bake sales and much more.

Salena West, customer service manager at Linley & Simpson says being a corporate partner with Martin House is “an incredibly rewarding experience” and the team values seeing the impact of the money they have raised over the years.

“We became a corporate partner with Martin House because we believe in its mission to provide exceptional care to children and families. Its values align with our own, and we wanted to make a meaningful impact in the community by supporting a cause that truly matters.

Having a long-term partnership with Martin House is important to us, because it allows us to build a deeper relationship with the charity, and continue to make a sustainable difference in the lives of those who rely on their services.

It’s an incredibly rewarding experience. It’s not just about short-term support; it’s about helping Martin House achieve its long-term goals.”

As well as the impact Linley & Simpson’s partnership has had on Martin House, Salena says it has had a number of benefits to the firm, including staff involvement which has been key to Linley & Simpson’s success in fundraising.

“It has enhanced our reputation, demonstrated our commitment to social responsibility, and fostered a sense of pride within our team. Beyond that, it has boosted staff morale, bringing branches together, sparking new friendships, and created a shared sense of achievement.

We’ve kept staff engaged by creating opportunities for them to participate in fundraising events and volunteering opportunities. We also hold internal challenges, celebrate milestones, and share the impact of their efforts, so they can see the difference their involvement is making.”

Linley & Simpson staff have taken on a wide variety of challenges through the years, from sponsored walks, branch accumulator challenges, to bake sales and raffles.

Its biggest fundraiser to date has been a National Three Peaks, which raised over £14,000, but it is aiming to beat that target with its 2025 event, the Relay 300 Challenge. This will see teams covering more than 300 miles and travelling across Yorkshire by bike, on foot and walking relays, and aims to showcase the breadth of Martin House’s impact across the county, as well as raising cash.

Salena said:

“We’re incredibly proud to be a partner of Martin House, and look forward to many more years of collaboration. Its dedication to supporting families and children is inspiring, and we’re honoured to play a small role in helping it to continue its important work.”

Lizzie Philpott, partnerships manager at Martin House, said:

“It is such a pleasure working with Linley & Simpson, and seeing first-hand the team’s passion for making a difference here at Martin House.

They are never afraid to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in with whatever we need help with, and their continued motivation to top their previous efforts is admirable. I am really excited for their upcoming Relay 300 challenge and would like to say thank you for being so much fun to work with, and for all they continue to do for Martin House!”
